Xiamen is a wonderful city by day and pretty by night. But the dance club scene here is pretty boring. There is however one bright spot - Me&You2 Bar at the edge of Haiwan Bay Park. Me&You2 Bar is run by a Swedish expat and serves the BEST HAMBURGERS in Xiamen, at night they have a beautiful bay view and a Filipino band that is very good. It's not a dance club but is a cool place to hang out and enjoy the outdoors - and yes in winter they have BIG heaters to make it nice and toasty. (John Barton)

We capped off the evening with dinner at Lucky Full City Seafood Ltd. (Hubin North Road), and drinks at Me&You2 Bar Xiamen (Hai Wan Gong Yuan, Houhaiting No. 1). Me&You2 Bar is right on the western coastline of Xiamen Island. With the strong sea breeze on a winter night, it was literally the “coolest” gimmick ever. Fujian would be nice in May. The colonial island is great; I am forgetting the name now. The best thing to do in Xiamen is wander around and have fun with the friendly locals, try the tea (every day) and eat the seafood. There are some great bars like: Me&You2.
